Altar Server

Altar Servers assist the priest and deacon at masses, weddings, funerals and other special liturgies and services. Contact 203.869.9393.

Music Ministry

The Saint Mary Music Ministry is devoted to inspiring the sung prayer of the worshipping assembly. Join together in song, under the direction of Marjorie Donalds. Check parish calendar for rehearsal times. Contact the choir director at 203.869.9393 x116 or marjoriedonalds@gmail.com.

Usher

Responsible for the good order in the Liturgical Celebration. Ushers meet and greet the people at the door, lead them to their places and to Communion stations, hand out bulletins, and take up collections. Any parishioner, 18 years or older, contact Ken Edwards, Chairman, at 203.340.9756.

Eucharistic Adoration

On Mondays, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed from 12:30pm to 5:30pm, concluding with Benediction at 5:30pm.

Finance Council

The Parish Finance Council is a consultative body of lay persons mandated by Canon law to advise the Pastor in matters pertaining to the financial affairs of the Parish. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets.

RCIA

Rite of Christian Initiation – preparation of adult candidates for Catholic sacraments. Please call 203.869.9393.

Social Concerns Ministry

Provides hot meals on a monthly basis to Pacific House and New Covenant House. Hosts Healing Mass & Luncheon twice a year for the homebound. Holds bake sales to raise funds for local charities. Please contact Cathy Lavaty clavaty@aol.com or Walter Kelly at 203.869.0256.

St. Matthew Society

Our offertory counters are responsible for counting the funds collected at Mass each week. Each group volunteers about once a month.

Parish Pastoral Council

Ideally a Parish Pastoral Council helps the pastor direct the mission of the parish. It does so out of charity as well as from Canon Law. The PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of St. Mary Parish.
